You must take certifications to sell Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plans. You do not need to certify to sell Medicare Supplement plans. You must certify annually, but the next-year’s AEP certification may apply for the current-year (e.g. in July 2024, taking the 2025 certification will allow you to sell 2024 and 2025 plans). Carrier make certifications available roughly between the last week of June and first weeks of July.
You must contract with the carrier before taking certifications. If you haven’t requested a contract, please do so directly from the Spark Platform. If you are looking for contracting support, view our walkthroughs
