Agency Book of Business
Spark now supports telephonic and LOA agencies!
Overview
Our original platform was designed for the field model, reflecting field agents' ownership of their book. Spark now offers enhanced visibility for Agency Principals into the performance of their LOA agents, recognizing their direct impact on growth and revenue, while also delivering these same insights to individual street agents. If you are an LOA and already on Spark, reach out to your Account Manager to get set up with this new view.
LOA View
If you are an LOA Agency Principal, you will need to manually switch to LOA View to manage your team. This view gives you access to critical features, such as team visibility, onboarding status, and administrative controls. It provides total visibility and control over your agency's book of business across your downline agents.
When you initially log in to Spark, you will notice that you have a field agent view by default. As previously mentioned, Spark was designed for the field model. To switch to LOA View, click Change view located on the top right of the page.
Contact List
As an Agency Principal, you have full visibility into your LOA agents’ client activity. This includes detailed information on each contact, along with a history of interactions between your agents and their clients.
In LOA View, navigate to the Contacts tab to access a centralized contact list. This list gives you oversight across your entire downline and includes tools to manage and filter data.
The Contact list includes the following columns:
- Agent Name – Easily identify which agent owns each contact
- Contact Name
- Contact Information- Phone number and email address
- Address
- Last Action – Track the most recent activity for each contact
- Contact stages – View where the contact is in the pipeline
- Carrier/Plan – See the associated carrier and selected plan
Use the filters, such as Agent Name and Contact name, email, or phone to narrow down your search and find information easily.
When you click on Contact name, you will be able to see all of the agent’s contacts and perform actions such as adding information or requesting support.
Reassign Contacts
You can reassign contacts to other agents or yourself:
Click the three dots on the far right and select Assign to Agent.
To reassign contacts in bulk, click on the dropdown next to Edit Report.
A pop-up window labeled Assign contacts to agent will appear. From there, select the desired agent from the dropdown menu and click Assign contacts.
Back Office
In the Back Office section, you will find an option specifically for LOA agents: Agents & LOA Settings.
Click Manage LOA to access and configure available settings.
This page includes two tabs:
- Agent Access
- LOA Settings.
Under Agent Access, you can invite agents to join your book of business and instantly manage their access permissions.
Onboarding new agents or removing existing ones? You can instantly grant or revoke access to your book by toggling the Book Access setting.
💡 Note: When access is disabled, the agent’s Contacts page will appear blank.
Within LOA Settings, you can choose whether agents have visibility into the entire book of business or only the contacts they personally own or are assigned. You can also enable client retention for LOAs.
Note: To protect your data, client information cannot be downloaded by any team member unless you specifically grant permission.
Inviting Agents
As a principal, you can invite LOA agents to join your book of business by navigating to Back Office > Agents & LOA Settings, then click Manage LOA.
Under the Agent access tab, locate the agent you wish to invite and click the Invite Agent button located on the far right, under the Book access column.
If they are not an existing Spark agent, they will be invited to create their username and password for the platform.
The LOA agent will receive a prompt notifying them of the transition to a shared book of business. To proceed, they must click Agree & continue to complete the merge.
Under the Book access column in Agents & LOA settings > Agent access, you can confirm when the invitation was sent and whether it was accepted or rejected.
