Recommended Equipment for Taking At-Home Calls
Computer (laptop or desktop)
- Should have a standard desktop or laptop computer; any Mac, Lenovo, Apple or large brand-name computer made in the last 5 years should suffice.
Browser
- Should install the Chrome browser for your computer as some carrier portals do not operate well dauntless on Google Chrome.
Headset
- Any of the USB headsets listed here should suffice. Top recommended (but pricier) headsets include:
- Jabra 2400 (wired) Jabra Pro (wireless)
- Pantronics
- Logitech
Internet
- Take the Speedtest here; anything higher than 25mbps is good. If below 25mbps, I would recommend upgrading. The absolute minimum is 10 mbps.
Call Recording Software
- It is best practice to record your calls for training and compliance purposes. You may also want to use an alternative number. As an example, see Dialpad.
